Today I have to go to Utrecht for a meeting with some of the members of the older women’s network. It is not one of our regular meetings, but one in which those of us who have been involved in the CEDAW process will the others, because in May we will be involved in a conference where this subject is on the agenda. HA is the person who knows most about it. Just before the meeting she has called the chair telling she did not feel well and is going to see the GP before travelling to Utrecht. From what she says it is already clear it is not a good idea for her to come, but she really wants to.
Later she calls telling us the GP told her not to travel.
We start the meeting and several of us have some documents which we exchange. We know that there is a process going on in The Netherlands to make a shadow report, but we do not know who is doing that and how far they are.
We also exchange some other information and have lunch together after the meeting.
